“I love that I genuinely get to help others find their dream career. Outside of the office I trade my office chair for a golf cart – catch me out on the course! In the winter you can find me skiing down the slopes in some fresh powder. When I’m not shredding slopes or sinking putts, I’ve got my passport in hand and ready to travel the world!”

Candidates

What are some tips you can give to people looking for jobs?

Do your research- It is important to research the companies you are interested in especially before interviews. Researching the companies show the hiring managers that you are truly interested in their company.

Utilize your resources- Your recruiter is a great resource for you. Ask your Recruiters questions and seek insight from us, we are here to help! We know the ins and outs of the job so we are a great point of reference.

Prep for every interview- Interview prep is so important! This is where you can showcase your own skills. Prepare beforehand and make sure you are able to express your talents to a company.

Is there anything you want candidates to know?

Show passion– Your passion behind what you do or the next job you want can make you stand out from other candidates. Show your passion and what drives you!

Companies

What are some tips you can give to companies looking to hire?

Hire when you are ready, work with a recruiter you trust and be open to less skills and more of a culture match with willing to learn.

Don’t look for the perfect skills, look for the IT factor/culture match and whole package.

What companies make you really excited?

I work with many different high growth tech startups. I love the passion each co founder/start up brings. It’s infectious and exciting!

Recruiting

What are your strongest skills when it comes to being a Recruiter?

Building long lasting relationships. Connecting on a deeper level. Being honest, building trust and always taking myself out of it and focusing on the best interest of the candidate.

What is the biggest myth about recruiting you want to bust the bubble on?

A lot of recruiters are spamming! Recruiters on Talentpair are not about spamming people, we only send at most ten candidates to a hiring manager at a time. If you are a candidate we are sending you that job because we truly believe you are a good fit!

What is your biggest hope for the recruiting industry over the next 10 years

I hope the human aspect stays. The relationships are such an important part to anyone making a jump in their career.

What is the hardest thing about recruiting?

It’s high stress and emotional… You have to celebrate the little wins and be resilient.
